Living in Mountain Home, Arkansas: What Makes This Area so Special

If you were thinking about moving to Mountain Home AR, you may be wondering what it’s really like to live here.

Mountain Home sits in the heart of North central Arkansas, surrounded by some of the most beautiful areas of the Ozarks. Bull Shoals Lake,  Norfork Lake and the White River are all nearby, making fishing, boating, kayaking and enjoying the outdoors part of everyday life. I can personally attest to this!

But there’s more to Mountain Home than the scenery.

We have local restaurants and shops, community events like concerts and fairs, educational opportunities especially the beautiful ASUMH campus, And the kind of smaller town atmosphere that attracts people looking for a different pace of life.

The housing choices are just as varied. Depending on what you’re looking for, you’ll find homes in established neighborhoods, properties near the lakes and rivers, country homes, acreage and land.

One of the biggest pieces of advice I can give anyone considering a move here is to explore the area before concentrating only on the individual houses. A home may look perfect online but its locations sur make a tremendous difference.
